Hello Rob,

I think that what you could do is make a simple script (e.g. servicename.bat)
that Sysedge would execute when a defined event occurs. I'm not sure how you
can monitor services with SE, but I'm sure you can monitor processes. In that
case, you would run an Action if the process is not alive for example. In the
action, you have the possibility to select a script (in this case, let's
suppose the service is the print spooler, so you have printspooler.bat).
It would be something like this I think:

Netstart "Print Spooler"

I think that's all. You can configure these things from the Spectrum. You
select the server and see the information tab. (I'm not with Spectrum right
now, so I may be forgetting some tabs). Then select the System Resources and
look if there is something related to Processes, Log file monitoring or
something like that.

If you need more help, tell me. Tomorrow I'll be in front of a Spectrum
OneClick console.

Asunto: [spectrum] Restarting a Windows Server on log entry

Are there any Windows SystemEDGE users out there restarting services with SE
via Spectrum ?

My scenario is a Windows Service throws an error in the Application log, when
this error appears, the Service is brain dead and needs to be restarted.

I'm thinking this is possible in Spectrum and SystemEDGE?

Experiences anyone?

Thanks

-Bob Borowicz
