Hi list, Hi wanted to ask the Spectrum people what they think about “Application Discovery and Dependency Mapping” products, with the goal to feed a CMDB/CMS to discover infrastructure / Applications, and possible transactions, and create a provisioning chain back to the monitoring tools.
Lot of you, as me, have experience with discovery techniques on infrastructure level, know the culprits, some of you have experience with Service Modeling, maybe with Assurance Manager, and Application Performance products. I am rather negative against ADDM, at least my belief in it. I have more belief in Service modeling within, or as part of active tools, and supported by innovative Application tooling with added value on performance, user experience like Wily’ Family What is your opinion ?
