I forgot to mention in my previous email, I also have a rule for event Z which raised Critical alarm in Spectrum as follows
0x4cd9006b A 3,0x4cd90060 I noticed an interesting thing, I stopped the hearbeat traps which I was generating, as expected Spectrum generated Event Z (0x4cd9006b) and copied all the variables of last event I (0x4cd90060) which generated alarm for me. After that Spectrum kept generating Event Z (0x4cd9006b) every one minute till it again started receiving heartbeat traps. I was expecting just 1 event Z to occur. For event "H" why are we copying 1 or more or all variables? If we miss the Heartbeat trap how can we do something with its varbind - or am I missing something here? As per documentation the rule will look like follows: <eventcode> E <eventSeverity> <eventRule>, H , Z, P, S 0x4cd90060 E 20 R CA.Heartbeat, "0x4cd90060 -:-", "0x4cd9006b -:-", 60, 0x10000 Thanks, Saurabh Bohra Sr. Network Mgmt Systems Analyst ESPN Inc.
