Agreed - if you don't reboot (or at least stop/start all processd and other
related Spectrum services), it won't work.

Personally after any internal fiddling with the OS on a SpectroSERVER I reboot
the machine just for good measure.

Subject: AW: [spectrum] problems starting SCP after ip change

Have you restarted your OS after changing the IP-Address?!
This should solve the problem.

Harald

Betreff: [spectrum] problems starting SCP after ip change

Hi all.
Changed the ip on my testlab spectroserver (win 2003), after that I cannot
start Spectrum Control Panel.
I get the error msg <Could not connect to the Location Server on Spectrum>

In this test env I dont have a dns server so I use the hosts file, I cannot get
the server to resolve reverse lookups.
It seems that i refuses to look in the hosts file, can this cause the problem?

Best Regards
