Hi Paul, list, you may also exclude the severity maintenance and/or specific alarm type from getting passed into the notifier script by modifying the SANM policy filter criteria. However, not creating these alarms at all as Dan suggested could save even more resources.

Our Spectrum installation has over 30000 alarms for "LINK DISABLED". These are all for ports that are administratively shutdown. These alarms weren't seen, however, because they were created as Maintenance alarms, and we filter those out. How can I stop Spectrum from creating these alarms every time a device reboots? Certainly this is something that others have experienced and wanted to remove. This causes a significant delay when restarting the AlarmNotifier, as it processes all 30,000 alarms each time we restart it. We're running Spectrum 9.2.0.1.32.
