Hi Raphael!

Of course you are right – the model_type was GnSNMPDev – so even “reconfigure
device” did not solve the problem.

I did not have a thought on Device Certification – so after adding the sysOID
to the Device certification list and re-creating the device there is an
CiscoHSRPApp model and I´m now able to monitor HSRP status changes...

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Markus Gatty

Hi Markus, list,

the general answer would be “reconfigure device” especially if HSRP was
configured after adding the the devices to Spectrum. However, “CiscoRT” sounds
suspicious to me, as it reflects the default behaviour of Spectrum device type
naming if there is no matching sysOID entry in the device certification table.
If you check the model_type and find something like GnSNMPDev or GnCiscoDev, I
would recommend to edit the device certification entry to make use of the
Rtr_Cisco model_type, then delete and re-create the device.

Hope this helps.

Betreff: [spectrum] HSRP on CiscoRT model

Hi @ all!

Does anybody has an idea how to trigger SPECTRUM to create the SPECTRUM
CiscoHSRPApp model for an CiscoRT device?

We use many Cisco ASR-920 and in some cases we have configured HSRP and we want
to monitor HSRP changes. The problem is that SPECTRUM does not create the
CiscoHSRPApp model and therefore the SPECTRUM built-in functionality of HSRP
Group Modeling, etc. could not be used although the ASR-920 supports the
Cisco-HSRP-MIB.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,
Markus Gatty
