Agreed =) DIY cubes are nice as well. eventually, these pre- assembled cubes will get too loose and pop too much.. but i think DIY cubes will give you more flexibility in adjusting the tightness.. =) but i'm not sure, since i haven't used one before.. i still have one waiting to be assembled =X
I personally think that the tighter cubes are better when compared to the loose ones.. i had one with a blue side that was just hanging loose (when i took it apart, the blue center piece had no tension).. can't speedcube with it.. the blue side would overturn! poor manufacturing process! anyway.. i think those tighter ones are nice cuz they give that "new cube" feeling =D as long as the spring tension is even, and it's not unbearably tight.. it gives me the feeling they'll last longer haha but yeah, they should be the same.. although the studio cubes are supposed to be superb.. they're supposed to have proper tension etc. and you can adjust it.. but i can't really say cuz i've never used one before Darren Kwong --- In [email protected], "Mike Bennett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Any normal Rubik's brand cube you can buy at a store these days that > has relatively even tension on the sides will be a great cube if > you're willing to wear it in enough. > > The only cube I've had for good speedcubing was tight and terrible out > of the package.
