I am a newer cuber, about 2-3 ago I realized the world of speedcubing, at that point I timed myself and couldn't get any faster than 5min, when lucky - I was using my method, very slow.
After looking at corners first, Fridrich, 2x2x3 build, etc I decided that for the amount of time I had available some were to complicated. So I use an intuitive Fridrich to get a 2x2x3 block, then use Lars to orientate the edges and finish the rest of the cube. Eventually I will probably use Fridrich to finish the LL. The reason I tell you is I just got 5 solves in a row under a minute, 2 of which under 50sec., only one was a lucky solve. I pause alot to figure out my next move, once recognition sets in I know I will reach 30sec, maybe faster. To move any faster, I will eventually have to stick with one method, but 'till then...
