The major problem I've found with doing opposite cross are the corners. I've been training myself for a long time to able to recognize a corner from only two stickers, and if I switch to opposite cross the color schemes of the corners are all backwards, which slows me down considerably.

More and more, the problem is to find a cube that does not look lucky.
