Hey,

I agree, don't give up just because you're improvement has slowed. My
times were also around 50 seconds for a few months straight. Don't
get frustrated by the times you see from others, remember that
everyone used to be at 50 seconds because everyone who can solve it
used to not be able to solve it.

What got me past 50 seconds was learning a better method. The method
I was using at the time was a beginner method, and I switched to a
more speedcubing style method. There are lots of methods to choose
from, all of which are fast, so just find the one you like.

Don't get frustrated, not everyone who cubes is super fast at
improving their times. You can get fast times too, just remember that
the method you use and the finger tricks and styles you use all
influence your time. If you are already using a speedcubing method
framework, try learning more algs. All the methods have lots of
additional algs you can learn that help speed up your times.

How do you solve and how many algs do you use in general?

Try new things, and experiment too. Maybe you'll find that you like
the 2x2x2, or 4x4x4, or fewest moves cubing more than speedcubing.

Don't give up though, not everyone improves super quickly. It took me
over 4 years just to get a sub-20 average, whereas most people do it
in under a year.

We normal people do in fact exist, and I'm still convinced that all
the others are cubing robots :-)

Chris
