Apparently not. That's what I thought it was, but I took some averages just now. 5 sets of 12, but I didn't know how many to get rid of, either. 19 13 18 17 14 16 9 15 14 17 14 16 = 15.17 13 17 10 16 17 17 18 15 16 16 18 16 = 15.75 15 17 16 12 13 16 13 10 14 12 11 17 = 13.83 16 15 14 13 12 14 14 19 12 18 18 15 = 15.00 11 16 4 18 16 19 16 14 14 20 17 17 = 15.17 = 14.98 overall Out of curiosity, I decided to take some using what little I currently know of the strategy I proposed last night. I was somewhat surprised, considering how few ELL algs and F2l+orienting algs I know. Still, I did pretty well, and this only strengthens my suspicions that this is a viable method. 21 14 18 19 13 16 19 18 16 14 15 23 = 17.17 22 18 19 17 13 13*20 19 17 17 12 18 = 17.08 17 14 19 19 21 19 12 20 14 18 17 17 = 15.67 15 18 16 15 14 12 24 17 21 17 20 9 = 16.50 14 20 14 12 11 15 16 12 17 18 18 19 = 15.50 =16.7 overall Most of the solves were done DB edge, DF edge, orient U edges, place U edges. A few that I knew how were done DB edge, DF edge+orient U edges, place U edges. A few more were done with ELL after the DF edge, and some of them I did the DF and DB edges simultaneously. The 23 and 24 were both long edge orientations and Z perms. The 13* should have been 9, but I inserted DF and then pulled it right back out for the beginning of an easy ELL alg. I should have seen that coming. The 9 was an easy orientation with DB finished and left me with two pairs of edges to swap (R2F2R2F2R2F2). I did an average of 50 earlier 23.16 with a best average of 21.64. Considering that's only a little better than I generally do with standard Roux, and I've worked on that a lot lately and several months ago, I can't really complain for a first try. I'm very excited to see what times I'm capable of once I learn some more of the insertion and ELL algs. I'm still waiting for ACube volunteers, though. :) > Jason K -Mike ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
