If you're new to the game, I would suggest trying many methods at
first and then choose which one you would like to devote your time to.

I started with Corners First when I was 14 (10 years ago)
took an 8 year break
1.5 years ago learned Corners First Faster(about 35-40sec)
1 years ago I switched to CFOP (24.xx avg avg- best avg 23.88)
5 weeks ago I switched to Gilles Roux's method (27.xx avg avg)

I also tried Petrus but the lack of notation made it hard for me to
learn. Also, It seems that everything on the site is 'left handed.'
Despite all this, I always start with a 2x2 (X cross) when doing CFOP.

I have used 3 different systems now. ROUX method is my favorite just
because of Move Count Efficiency. I averaged 45 moves/cube for 12
cubes. Best Solve so far 31 moves.
