WikiCube - The free encyclospeedia that anyone can edit. I think it's about time we had a massive resource of anything you need to know about cubing, proviously you'd have to hunt around the web for something, but eventually, it'll all be here.
If you know how wikipedia works, you'll see just how good this is. Otherwise.... Basically, WikiCube will have pages and pages of infomation about different kinds of cubing. Don't see something there? Write a request and someone will write a page about something. Just think, all the cubing minds in teh world together in one place contributing infomation, I hope this to because the number one source of infomation. Handly, we could have for example a PLL pages explaining what PLL is and some generic algs. Or a description of a method. No limits :) The beta version is running on my webserver at the moment; http://www.snkenjoi.com/wikicube/mediawiki-1.5.3/index.php?title=Main_Page Feel free to add new articles or sign up and help expand the database. Wikicode is pretty easy to use, and if you don't get it, gimmie a shout and I'll fix up the page for you. I've enabled image uploading and the like... Any articles you write now will be carried over when it moves to it's new home at cubemoves.com. This is just a sneak peek, but it'll be here for a few months. Also, another cool part of cubemoves (run by myself and paul nixon) is a web interface for ACube. I've played around with it so far and it's amazingly good. Which is fortunate since I can't get make cubesolvers working on my linux box. So, comments? ~Thom ------------------------ Yahoo!
