my petrus times have dropped pretty steadily over the last year and i'm
averaging 27 or so right now with it. if you want to see a video check out
strangepuzzle.com i have a 22.18, and lars has a couple faster than that, a 14
and 18 if i remember correctly. color neutrality is a big deal because it
makes almost every scramble have a decent start, i found my biggest "leak" was
in the edge flipping stage, when it was red/yellow or red/white i could tear
through it, while if it was blue/orange or something like that, i'd have
problems seeing all the bad edges. the biggest thing to work on, or that i work
on is still assembling that first 2x2x2 box. i study the cube until i memorize
the box moves, then put on a blindfold, or close my eyes and do it. this
really helps the ability to look ahead which is extra crucial for the petrus.
lars also recommended to me, that you should write down a box solution for
every corner on a scramble, and decide which one is best, it takes some time
but its a great exercise. i'm not sure who all uses the petrus method out
there, but thaese are my ideas.
