It's intersting that there are so many vatiations of M2

rR' rR'

r2 R2'

M' M' (with ring finger)

M2' (with ring and middle)

L(LM2)

r(R'M')

I have used all of the above mentioned methods for M2, pretty much in
the order described. The way I do it is very close to your way. But
instead of doing L, I do r, bringing the UB edge down to DB. Then I
just do a M' with my left ring finger as do R' with my Right hand.
Everything is the same way as what you described, but I push my right
hand away instead of bringing my left hand toward me.

Happy Cubing
