I don't think the time we volunteered for this event is comparable to
the thousands of hours speedcubers put into speedcubing. Most of those
hours are people practicing on their own time for the sake of personal
improvement. We took several hours out of our daily lives and homework
schedules which we would much rather be spending doing something else,
and got little to no compensation in return.
