I found something called "Shock Oil" at a hobby store. It's apparently used for radio control cars. It's 100% silicone oil, and comes in various weights. I like the thicker kind because it drips slowly and is not messy to apply a few drops on a puzzle. It's odorless and seems to last longer than the silicone spray.
