Hey http://www.rubikscuberecord.com/ also describes a good system for the corners... I use that one for the 2x2... Not a lot of algorithms, but very efficient. You can combine it with other methods/ or change the order of the steps in special cases, to be even faster. And, being color neutral is very easy with this method: the patterns are very easy to recognise if you start with other colors, so you can always choose the easiest cases during preinspection.
