Hi,

i'am working now for 8 days on installing my speedtouch under linux. i had
only ONE time the luck that my modem flashed like it does under windows
then never again and i nearly tried everything hundred of times. reading
all the FAQ and the postings here. when my modem flashed with the lights it
was with an old driver version where i had to recompile my kernel with this
experimental features :).

same computer with same hardware runs under win95 with only one problem.
after exactly 24 hours connection the line hangs up. provider is wanadoo.fr
in france. does someone knows why? (might be wanadoo trying to get me off :)

BUT the real problem follows know (Think there is no real timeout.
Uploading faillure comes very fast):

[root@victory admin]# modem_run -v -f /usr/local/bin/microcode.bin -m
