Seems that /etc/usb_ppp doesn't exit (or am I being > too impatient?). You should see some output from modem_run in the system log. It does take a while to upload the firmware and sync the adsl line. It might be that your modem already has the firmware on board and so objects to being re-initialized. I haven't investigated this case thoroughly. If you reboot I suggest you unplug the modem and plug it in again after booting. Tony.
