I've had my 4.4-RC machine lock up tight after removing
the USB connector without killing all relevant daemons,
but that hasn't happened since I:
o Checked out the sauce on 27 August
o Applied your /etc/usbd.conf patch
Although I still have to ^C to cause /etc/usb_ppp start
to exit during bootup, although I can now reliably
unplug and re-insert the manta when the line hangs.
My current system is based on a cvsup around 14 August.
I don't have crashdumps enabled so I never got me a
stack to unwind.
