Sorry for not reading the FAQ. I guess you must be sick of people like
me!

I had another go connecting and I can now ping both dns servers using
the IP numbers in the resolv.conf file. I still can't browse.

Here is info :

RedHat7.2 with Kernel 2.4.7-10
PPPD version 2.4.1
My VPI/VCI is 0 38 for UK
The modem driver version is 1.0

My ISP is BTOpenworld

Here are my USB controllers :

Bus 0, device 7, function 2:
USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. UHCI USB (rev 22).
IRQ 5.
Master Capable. Latency=32.
I/O at 0xc400 [0xc41f].

Bus 0, device 7, function 3:
USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. UHCI USB (#2) (rev 22). IRQ 5.
Master Capable. Latency=32.
I/O at 0xc800 [0xc81f].

It's strange that I can ping the DNS but can't browse. If I remember
correctly the browser says "Host not found" I tried using netscape and
KDE conq.

Any guidance you can give would be useful at this point as I'm well and
truly stumped.

Thanks in advance.

Lee

Read the FAQ in the documentation area and if that doesn't help submit
the information the FAQ mentions.
