Suse is RPM based so there should be no reason you cannot recompile the src.rpm and install. I doubt (guessing) that YaST will recognise pppoa3 being present so you will have to manually add your /etc/ppp/peers/, /etc/speedtouch.conf and /etc/ppp/[chap or pap]-secrets files as detailed in the Howto.
