Hi all.

I've followed the instructions in 'SpeedTouchUSB-HOWTO using Benoit
Papillault's OpenSource drivers' to the letter. Still no joy.

I'm connecting to Demon in the UK with RedHat 8.0. It's a recent 2.4
kernel - I can't remember the exact revision - I'm having to boot into
Windows to write this email (ag!). Here is my /etc/ppp/options:

lock
noipdefault
noauth
usepeerdns

Here is /etc/ppp/peers/adsl

debug
kdebug 1
noipdefault
defaultroute
pty "/usr/sbin/pppoa3 -m 1 -c -vpi 0 -vci 35"
sync
user "(login name removed)"
noauth
noaccomp
nopcomp
noccp
novj
holdoff 4
persist
maxfail 25
usepeerdns

And here is the log when I try to connect:
Oct 27 09:57:20 davemac pppd[1666]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0

It seems to me that the problem is that the LCP config requests are not be
responded to - after that I'm stumped.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
