I see that you guys are using the speedtouch modem on a SuSe installation.
I have been using the speedtouch for almost a year now, originally on
SuSE 7.3, where I used benot Papillault's drivers successfully. I wrote
a small script that I put in /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/, so the connection would
launch on boot.

After upgrading to SuSE 8.1, I noticed an article on the SuSe
knowledgebase, on configuring the speedtouch via yast2, which I did. I
now have my connection worrking, but I chose 'connect on demand', and
chose 0 as Idle time. I want my box on all the time, because I run a
small webserver. On coming home toiday, I noticed that kinternet was not
active. How can I make sure the connection is always on? I thought idle
time=0 meant always on.

Thanks for your suggestions
