I had this problem when I used the .sys file included with the Windows
driver package instead of mgmt.o from the linux driver package. Which
are you using?

Hello Ronald,

Your problem is not wholly unfamiliar to me.
I mostly got a good download rate of 25K/s working under mandrake 9.0. I
am
a 'lite' users of adsl under ISP xs4all so I get no more than that. In
cases
this rate was far less, I guessed that this had to do with a 'weakest
link'
being somewhere.
The CRC-errors in AAL5-frames are very often present on my system too.
Sometimes a stop of the adsl connection (killal pppoa3, killall pppd),
followed by a restart (pppd call adsl) some moments later (no microcode
is
realoaded) would make things healthy again and the CRC errors would stay
away. But I have not experimented and so can't contribute to the
solution of
your problem.

I am very anxious to what answers you get.

Ed
