Hi There,

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am only guessing I have a problem with
the speedtouch software, it is only a guess.

My linux machine can stay online and connected to the internet for upto
20 days, but then when I try and connect to telnet, I get this message:

"bash: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable"

Although the internet connection is up, it seems I cannot login and
presumably there are other things programs failing because of this. So I
was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I am using Kernel 2.2.22, on a P200 with I think about 48 Mb of RAM. I
have the classic Speedtouch USB modem, on a USB-OHCI card. The linux
distro is a Caldera OpenLinux 2.3, upgraded from Kernel 2.2.10 to 2.2.22.

Any more info needed?

Cya
Simon
