Hi, I have a few questions regarding the recommended & available firmware files for the SpeedTouch/SpeedTouch 330. I know that some of these questions have been asked before, but I have been unable to gain a comprehensive understanding from the archives.
Does the old SpeedTouch (that looks like a sting ray) use the same firmware as the SpeedTouch 330? Could someone please tell me where I can get a linux-specific firmware for the 330? On the official product website I can find only Apple and Windows drivers; I can't extract the Apple driver, and the Windows driver does not work well (extremely high CRC error rate and 75% drop in throughput). A lot of the comments in the archive suggest that there /used/ to be a Linux-specific firmware file for the 330 on the Alcatel/Thompson website, but it seems to be no longer there. I have seen a list of the md5 checksums of the various firmware files in the archives. Are there any that are to be preferred/ avoided for the SpeedTouch/SpeedTouch 330? Is the collection of firmware files publically available? Many thanks for any help, Jim _________________________________________________________________ On the move?
