Hello all, Here's the extra stuff that I had to do on SuSE9 in order to get an Internet connection
First, replace "pusb-linux.c" with Duncan's version of the the "pusb-linux.c" file before compiling the Speedtouch drivers. Second, cd /lib/modules/`uname -r`/ cp -p modules.usbmap modules.usbmap.old vi modules.usbmap Delete the line starting with "speedtch..." Save and exit... Install Speedtouch driver and other files normally. Reboot SuSE Run "run_modem..., etc.." I still have a question however. I did a "man run_modem" on the version of the Speedtouch driver that I am using didn't show the -k switch. I guess I should download a newer version of the Speedtouch drivers. Regarding "/usr/sbin/modem_run -k -f /usr/lib/speedtouch/firmware.bin" Can I use the "modem_run" command to load the ***speedtch ***"firmwire" @ James Liste de diffusion modem ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB Pour se dsinscrire : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
