Hi,
 I'm running fedora Core 1, kernel 2.4.22

Whilst I can get ppp etc working, I suffer from one of two problems

a) Errors like Couldn't increase MTU to 1500 - regardless of settings in
/etc/ppp/peers/NAME
 - and if I change this (in the pppoatm.c plugin) to a warning, I then get warnings of
bogus pdu length -- quite correctly, as I am receiving packets > MRU size (both MTU
and MRU cause a problem) - this occurs even with the code from speedbundle

b) Running the latest pppoatm.c from this year, together with 2.4.2b3 from cvs the
last line I see in the log is
PPPoATM setdevname_pppoatm.c - SUCCESS 0.38

but no line saying ppp is started.

My question is,
 - is anyone using 2.4.22 (esp. fedora)
 - if so, did you get the MTU error
 - what pppoatm.c are you using - exactly?
 - what code base for ppp?

I'm now going to try the user mode driver for a while, see how that goes.

Thanks
Nigel Jones
