Hi there ;-) Maybe someone found a similar problem: after having downloaded the firmware into the modem (SpeedTouch 330 rev 4.00) i start pppd as explained in the howto and everything works fine but... at random, after some hours (sometime days), the network become unusable: no ping even to the P-t-P host

Has anyone idea how could I restore the connection without having another IP. Why ppp do not understand that the connection is lost?
