Well, after a few aborted atempts at Linux over the past few years, it was
time to try again. Using speedtouch-1.2.tar.bz2 in Fedora Core 1 I managed
to get my silver Speedtouch 330 to connect me to the net. All was fine and
rosy until I decided to be flash and upgrate to Fedora Core 2 Test 3. This
incorporates the 2.6.5 kernel. Now I've hit problems :o(

modem_run seems to cause problems... It compiles fine and when run the modem
lights go on and off as they did before. However, my sytem log gets dumped
with:

May 7 19:34:11 localhost modem_run[2002]: modem_run version 1.2 started by

May 7 19:34:47 localhost modem_run[2002]: pusb_release_interface 2 failed

As expected, pppd then fails completely. I've done a search and can't find
anything. Any ideas before I dich my latest install and go back to Core 1?

Many thanks,

Tim Mortlock
