Well, in kernel-2.4.22-1.2188.nptl (rpm for Fedora Core1), i did not
have this issue.
This started happening on 2.6.x
I dont know if this happens on 2.4.6. I can try to download the kernel,
install and see if it happens.
Why do you say its a "power issue"?
