Hi,

I'm using a silver Speedtouch 330, and since changing to the 2.6.10
kernel firmware loader, I've found this very reliable.

Just occasionally, however, the ADSL link falls over, with the following
messages in the syslog:

Feb 21 11:44:34 buffy kernel: DSL line goes down
Feb 21 11:44:34 buffy kernel: ADSL line is down

I then got the following from cat /proc/net/atm/speedtch\:0 :

Speed Touch 330 (usb-0000:00:13.0-1)
MAC: 00:90:d0:d4:06:bd
AAL5: tx 1850113 ( 0 err ), rx 2486432 ( 15 err, 0 drop )
Line down, firmware loaded

To bring it back, I tried reloading the speedtch module, which didn't
work; I then tried reloading ohci_hcd, which *did* bring back my
connection.

Any thoughts as to what might be the problem here - or any further
information I can provide?

Thanks,

Richard
