I'm a Linux newbie and I've got a bit stuck trying to setup Redhat
9 to use my Speedtouch 330 modem to connect to the Internet. I've
downloaded the firmware files and also the 'speedtouch-1.3.1-
1.i586.rpm' package.
However, when I try to install this package it says that it can't
find a 'pppoe' package on my system. Is this a package specific to
Redhat 9 or is it part of the Speedtouch software ? I've searched
online and found the Roaring Penguin PPPoE. This installs OK, but
the original Speedtouch-1.3.1-1.i586.rpm' package still says it
can't find a 'pppoe' package.
I'm totally stuck here, can anyone point me in the right direction
?
