I read the documentation about the speedtouch
modem clicking on the link below:

I follow all instruction but when i reboot my machine i found
the error inside /var/log/syslog file.
To the end of documentation I read:
chmod 744 /etc/init.d/{dial,shorewall}
ln -s ../init.d/dial /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S96dial
chmod 600 /etc/ppp/{*secrets,peers/speedtch}
Reboot and you should be online.
So, after to have follow all instruction
I changed the permission to the files
dial and shorewall and I created symbolic lynk
to the *secrets,peers/speedtch files.
But after to reboot the machine
I'm not online and I found errors inside
the syslog file.
That is everythigs I done.
I don't know if i have some problems
about kernel or modem,usb drivers or so on....
I hope someone can help me.
I'd like to connect to the net by linux
operating system.
