First of all happy holidays to everyone. With reference to my previous message attached below, I have been running along with the problem of packetloss for quite some time now, and only today discovered some interesting things. Up till now I have been experiencing a constant 10% packetloss on my FreeBSD ADSL(speedtouch 330 USB rev4) connection, however today with the lower network traffic this dropped to 0% (one or two packets lost over 1000 pings). This seems to point to the fact that maybe things may not optimised, and with normal network traffic packets start getting lost.
