You will forgive me, Duncan and Lee, as, being a Linux newbie, I chose
Mihai's complete, straightforward, self-contained solution - rather than
your (to me) more 'technical' and, therefore, more difficult solutions
(which I am sure would have worked just as well).
Thank you, Mihai, VERY MUCH. Your solution worked brilliantly, and I now
have Kubuntu 6.06 connected to the net.
