yep, that's right, but the speedtouch-start script
gets this information from the file speedtouch.conf
and puts this in the variable MODEM_RUN_OPTIONS.
I put an echo in the script and saw that the 
correct firmware file is loaded (ZZZL_3.012 file).
I don't get any response though, so I can't figure
out what is going wrong.
