Hi Denis, this error indicates some kind of data corruption when talking with the modem, usually due to some kind of electrical problem (bad cable, interference etc).

Try plugging it into a different USB port, and also make sure that the cable is far away from any causes of electrical interference (such as power cables, the insides of your computer etc).
