So you want the credits gone because you cannot access the "edit" and 
related links simply by pressing <End>?

I seriously hope I won't live to the day openspf.org falls under German 
jurisdiction and, thus, "imprint" regulations.

It's certainly not just you.  But what does the word "excessive" have to do 
with the 1-2 lines license note at hand?

I think the GNU and CC websites do a sufficiently good job at explaining 
the licenses for non-lawyers, especially the CC site.  Have you looked at 
them?

GFDL?  We use the GPL.  BTW, see [1] for a discussion of GPL vs. GFDL.
