Just as I thought I had solved my issues last night (I basically deleted everything and ran sphinx-quickstart anew), I'm back at square one this morning. I had only an index.rst, which compiled fine last night, then I went on to add a tutorials.rst file and tried compiling the docs and got the same sort of errors I had previously. I ran 'make clean' in a hope this would allow me to run 'make html', but here's what I got : y...@yves-laptop:~/geoprisma/trunk/docs$ make html sphinx-build -b html -d build/doctrees source build/html Running Sphinx v0.6.3 loading pickled environment... not found building [html]: targets for 0 source files that are out of date updating environment: 0 added, 0 changed, 0 removed WARNING: master file /home/yves/geoprisma/trunk/docs/source/index.rst not found looking for now-outdated files... none found no targets are out of date. I would very much like to know why I get the message that the master file was not found : the file is there. The only thing I can think of is that some remnant of my original quickstart spin remains somewhere in the environment. The first time I installed Sphinx I did not ask for separate directories for source and build.
