please see pagecode of your browser and of your generated html.
<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8"  controls what you see. see
charsets latin1, latin2 etc. lookup for these and you will find
solution. see samples "boletim of library" created with sphinx (look
at exibir source/fonte).
