Thank you for this hint. We run the command sphinx-build directly. We use the -a option now: write all files; default is to only write new and changed files
We have an automated updated of our code and docs on the server. It is a bit sad, that everytime an updates happens, we need to rebuild all sphinx pages now. Since I don't see a way to distinguish between the two cases (clean needed or not). Nevertheless thank you for your answer. Thomas Güttler Am Dienstag, 5.
