Hi,
I'm using Qemu-1.0.rc4 with Spice v0.10.0 and able to launch RHEL6 guest
successfully.
I'm facing problems while launching Win7 guest. Session gets hang by displaying
Winlogo screen while booting.
This sounds like a known bug, are you using the spice agent and qxl? This
bug goes away when removing either qxl or virtio-serial from qemu command
line. I really hope we'll have a fix for that soon :-/
I've seen something similar with windows XP guests, and I've found 2
workarounds, perhaps you can test those?
The 2 workarounds are:
1) Start the vm, but don't connect spice-client / virt-viewer, wait
a couple of minutes to boot, then connect (it seems to hang
when switching from vga to qxl mode, but only when a client is
connected).
2) Downgrading the windows virtio-serial driver to version
vioserial-win-1.1.16.zip, also seems to fix this

Hans
