Hi Frediano,

yes, libva-intel-driver is installed and I tested vaapi successfully playing 
mp4 files with mpv and vlc.
The vaainfo command also showed that vaapi is working.

Probably, as Kevin pointed out, there's some other issue with my gestreamer.
I'm not investigating this though, since the windows virt-viewer build does not 
support h264 at all. If that gets fixed I'll give it another try.
