Maybe this is the client mouse speed?, try to increase your mouse
speed in kde...
I had that same feeling once, and it turned out for me that it was just
the configuration of the mouse that is "moving slower" in linux...

(gl_fbo should be little bit faster than gl_pbuff)

As far as I know it is not spice problem but compiz problem that it
break some opengl applications.
