One thing Ive learnt since having the spit is that everything happens
(i.e. breaks) in two's.

Today's darstadly duo - Inside Door Handle and Brake Pedal Light
connection

Getting trapped inside a car isn't my idea of fun - I considered all the
possibilities - clambering over to the passenger side and getting out
that way - putting the top down - unzipping the rear window and getting
out - getting out the side windows - and then I realised that I could
just put down the window and open it from the outside. At first it didnt
work - but that was just because I wasn't pulling hard enough
(surprising how much force it takes when you're on the inside)

So the inside handle is broken - I havent investigated it yet - I don't
want to pull off the lining until I have some time to get it back on.
Basically the inside handle is loose. I hope itll be obvious when I get
to it.

Then today whilst travelling home - some guy behind me is making hand
jestures at me pointing at the rear - I didn't think that much of it
until I got home (I was only a minute away) - so I thought I'd check the
rear - all fine and dandy - the idea of the brake lights dawned on me -
after some frantic bulb swapping and wiggling (and handily the Haynes
manual showed me that I was missing plastic protector covers - no wonder
Im fiddling about with them the whole time - all the stuff in the back
of my car (just in case I break down - the usual stuff strobescope and
rpm meters :) ) gets thrown about and hits the bulb holders)

No joy their though - so anyway - eventually after some bending even the
circ du solei (sp?) would be proud of I discover that the 2 cables
(green) that connect to the brake pedal are in mid air. I worked out
that their the cables by touching them together.

But where do they go? At the moment I can see:

2 green cables
A white plastic box 1 inch square - out of which theres a cylindrical
thing that moves in and out on the pedal (not sprung as I would have
thought though)

Im guessing the cylinder works out if the brake pedal is pressed - but I
can't work out where the 2 green cables (with spade connectors on?) go -
Im guessing in the box - but there doesn't look like corresponding
connectors.

Am I missing something that goes in between?
