Thanks, I've recieved a lot of help from Michael Porter on this issue off the list, and I've decided to go for either dual SU's or dual Strombergs.
It seems that since I've got an eight port head I have to have dual webers and frankly I cannot afford that right now. Unfortunatly, for me that is, I've already bought myself a weber 40DCOE. Maybe I'll keep it and do it in the future, but I'll probably try to sell it. Anyway, I appreciate the help and information. /Ronny Hortlund -----Original Message----- From: T. .R. This system offers the maximum flow (hence best at high revs) with greates flexibility. (only trouble is you need a rolling road to set them up!) 1 Weber DCOE 45 (Which Laura has) is simpler, and may give better torque low down, but becomes restrictive at high revs. Cheers Tim Ronny Hortlund wrote: > I heard from a weber shop that if you have 4 inlets to the engine you have > to have 2 weber 40DCOE. > But I've seen the weber comparison between 1x45DCOE and 2x40DCOE (just don't > remember where I saw it). > > So what happens if I put a single carb on it, will it run incredible bad? > > Thanks in advance > /Ronny > -63 Spit with a -65 Triumph 1300 engine. > -- Tim Dafforn University of Cambridge Structural Medicine Unit Cambridge Institute for Medical Research Hills Rd, Cambridge CB2 2XY.
