Greetings, Fellow Listers, It Runs! It Drives! It Shifts, Turns, and Stops! It also Rattles, but details, details. After 22 months, the '74 Spit is once again in the land of the living. I took it out for a bit of a spin today. I decided to follow Livia's example and try in without the bonnet. Got a few strange looks, but a big wave from a lady in an MGB. There are a few things left to do before the bonnet goes on, but I can see the end from here. I am SO HAPPY!! :) :) :) :) :) Barring any Triumph difficulties we'll be heading for VTR Monday afternoon. 60 miles should be a reasonable maiden voyage.
Thanks to all on the list for their advice and support since I started this project. It took a lot more time, labor, and cash than I planned, but I think it will be worth it.
